The Wisdom Class of 2019 Top Scholars

Staff Reports

Wisdom High School recently held an Academic Signing Day & Awards Ceremony for their graduating seniors in the Class of 2019. Combined, our graduating Class of 2019 has earned close to $10 million in scholarship money. The students that earned scholarship money and have already chosen where they would like to attend college were on hand, as Principal Trinh and College Readiness Administrator Keisha Smith-Davis gave out awards.
Around 60 Generals took part in the end-of-year celebration, as the seniors have an eye on the graduation ceremony on Sunday, June 2.
Close to 30 members of our graduating class will stay together and attend the University of Houston-Downtown, which was the university that was selected more than any other. Six seniors earned an opportunity to attend the University of Houston Main Campus, and three will be attending North American University.
Class of 2019 Valedictorian Ethan Song will be attending Duke University on a full scholarship, while Salutatorian Mauricio Guerrero will attend the Ivy League’s Columbia University, also on a full scholarship. Aaron Ni and Giana Lopez will be attending the University of Texas.
Other Wisdom seniors earned scholarship money towards Houston Baptist, Sam Houston State, UT San Antonio, UH Victoria, Bryn Mawr College, New England College, Texas Women’s University, Prairie View A&M, Florida Technical Institute, and the United States Army.
