The Wisdom Welding Team – under the direction of teacher Brittney Morrison – earned a pair of 2nd Place finishes at the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo Junior Agriculture & Mechanics Competitions, held the weekend of February 23-24.

Students Austin Alexander, Tony Webb & Gexell Soria won 2nd Place in both Division 2 and Class 603 for their Livestock Grate.

Students Mario Garcia and Draven Garcia earned 2nd Place in both Division 6 and Class 202 for their Welding Table.

“We wanted to go to San Antonio to compete and get a great learning experience, but our showmanship was really outstanding,” said Morrison. “The way my students have worked so far this year makes me really excited for the future of our program, and I’m really proud of them.”

There were over 600 projects in the San Antonio Competition, broken into 15 Divisions. The Wisdom Welding Team will compete again in the upcoming Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on March 16.
