Daniel Rubin & Nilofir Momin

Ali Anwar, Reporter

We’d like to welcome two of our newest teachers here to Wisdom High School. Mr. Daniel Rubin began teaching English and College Prep this year. He graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas and previously taught at Pershing Middle School. He is most excited to work with our “bright, driven, diverse group of students”. His favorite thing about teaching is helping his students succeed, and if he had five free hours, he’d cook something slow, “like stew or a roast” while reading a book. Mr. Rubin’s favorite fast food restaurant is Five Guys.

We’d also like to welcome Mrs. Nilofer Momin, who teaches Chemistry. She was born in India, and then lived in Dubai and Kenya before coming to the United States. Momin graduated from the University of Houston at Clear Lake and previously worked at Middle College High School in the Gulfton area. She is most excited to work for our incredible Principal Mr. Trinh, and her favorite hobby is to read science articles and new scientific research. Her goals for the future are to become a better teacher, and she loves helping her students take part in competitions.
