Wisdom High School Assistant Principal Sandra Garza announced on Wednesday, January 16 that the Career & Technology department has entered into a partnership with Office Depot Store #2195 (7519 Westheimer Rd.) and General Manager Mark Palmer.

Palmer has begun making school supply donations to Wisdom, in which the Generals have received folders, planners, notebooks, paper, and other items typically used within a classroom setting. Meanwhile, Palmer recently needed one of his carts repaired, and brought it to Wisdom’s welding classroom where teacher Brittney Morrison took over.
Morrison and her students were able to weld the cart back together and restore it into working order. They then painted it with the Wisdom school colors of black and gold, and added the words “Wisdom Generals” in block letters to the base.
“The cart was in terrible shape when I brought it here – it was actually broken into pieces and didn’t even work,” said Palmer. “The students did an amazing job, and we are really excited to be partnering with Wisdom.”
The heavy load cart will be used at the Office Depot location to help customers push their bulk supplies out to their vehicles.
“We are grateful to Mr. Palmer for his generosity, and thankful for his support,” said Garza. “This is another way that we are engaging the community and surrounding businesses around our school.”
