Two Wisdom High School seniors have been named POSSE Scholars for the Class of 2019. Jenifer Fabian Dubon will be utilizing the full-tuition scholarship to attend Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania, while Aline Irafasha will utilize hers to attend Wellesley College in Massachusetts.

The Posse Foundation is an American nonprofit organization that identifies, recruits, and trains student leaders from high schools to form multicultural teams called “Posses” of 10 Posse Scholars. These teams are then prepared, through an intensive eight-month Pre-Collegiate Training Program, for enrollment at top-tier universities nationwide to pursue their academics, help promote cross-cultural communication and become leaders on college campuses.

“We have been very fortunate to have a short history of outstanding Wisdom students earn these opportunities from the Posse Foundation,” said Wisdom College Readiness Adviser Keisha Smith-Davis. “For that, we are very grateful, and we are extremely proud of both Jenifer and Aline. A full scholarship opportunity for each of them is amazing.”

Wisdom has had the following students proudly represent our school as a POSSE Scholar or Alumni:

Ixchel Perez (2015) – University of Texas @ Austin
