Baseball & Softball Clubs Formed for First Time in Over a Decade

Staff Reports

This season will be the first season for baseball and softball at our school in quite some time, thanks to the efforts of a few coaches that have decided to ramp up the effort to form teams.
“We will begin with a club team, to then get certified by Houston ISD and the UIL, hopefully by next year,” said Samuel Whitehill, Wisdom Director of Security, who is acting as the club’s director for now. “We will be playing other schools and their sub varsity teams, as well as a few other groups around town.”
Our players will train inside our gym when there is a weather delay. For standard training and games, they will be at Anderson Park, which is our old Lee HS Baseball Field for decades (5701 Beverly Hills Walk, Houston, TX 77057). This is the same park that our football team has trained at these last three seasons.
All players interested will need to get a physical, or the player will not be allowed to participate in training or games. Also, any student who does not make passing grades, will not be able to play. Please see Coach Tinsley or Coach Davis for more information, and how to become involved.
