Nic Johnson – A Two-Sport Star

Nic Johnson is known around campus as one of the stars of the Wisdom HS football team as well as this year’s Homecoming King. He is only a junior and is looking to play football in college. Johnson went to West Briar Middle School and Westside High School before attending Wisdom, and even then he was still throwing a football.

“I’ve been playing football since I was 8 years old,” said Johnson. “I joined the Wisdom football team in my sophomore year.”

Johnson plays wide receiver and defensive back for the Generals, and he improves in every game.

“I come from a family of athletes,” said Johnson. “My brother is my biggest inspiration because he played football before I did, but he passed away. Hopefully when I get better, I’ll be able to honor him by making the NFL, but my first goal is to get into college.”

Johnson is more than just our average player. He plays with motive, ingenuity, and a will to improve in every game. Now that football season is over, Johnson has taken his athletic ability to the Generals basketball team as a shooting guard. Look for Johnson on the court this season, and to possibly be playing at a major college someday.
